Variable Measures
Virtual Debris
As the result of extensive experimentation combining recycled engine lubricant oil and other petrochemical wastes, this series of prints was made using this substance that behaves like a pigment and allows to create juxtaposed images that seem to collide and at the same time to merge on the surface of the paper. The viscous 'pigment' is transferred to the paper using as matrix fragments of disposed of engines, mechanic components, and other industrial discarded parts, besides shards from traffic accidents collected from suburb areas where industrial activity and traffic are reported as the main causes of air pollution and environmental contamination.
